Goat Milk Soap: |
Our
soaps are mainly crafted using designer molds, although we do carry a
small line of rectangle bars. All soaps are made using the same recipe,
which we especially developed for dry sensitive skin, using the cold
process method and allowing six weeks to cure. We have listed just a few
scents on our order page. If you do not see your favorite in the drop
down menu please contact us as our soap comes in approximately 25 different scents. Our soap has helped many people with sensitive or
minor skin conditions but we always recommend unscented natural colored
soap for extremely sensitive skin, sever skin conditions and infants.
Ingredients and benefits of oils and butters used
in our luxurious Elk Brook Goat Milk Soap:

Goat’s milk contains Proteins and Vitamins A, D, E, and K. It also
contains Caprylic Acid that aids in reducing the alkalinity of soap.
Only pasteurized milk is used in the soap making process, producing
a richer texture in the final soap.

Coconut Oil is rich in Lauric acid and yields the creamy lather.

Olive Oil is packed with vitamins, mineral and proteins. It
forms a breathable film to prevent loss of moisture but does not
block the natural functions of the skin.

Palm Oil makes a hard bar of soap, cleans well and is kind to
the skin.

Sweet Almond Oil is a great emollient for softening and
conditioning the skin. It is well suited for eczema, psoriasis and
itchy, dry and inflamed skin. It is rich in essential fatty acids
and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. It is high in oleic and linoleic
essential fatty acids and is known to help repair the skin's lipid
matrix barrier.

Shea Butter is used as a treatment for dry skin, wrinkles, damaged
hair, skin discoloration, blemishes, healing of scars, prevention of
stretch marks and skin aging.

Cocoa Butter has soothing and emollient (suave) qualities and lays
down a protective layer that holds moisture to the skin, making it a
good skin softener.

Additional
essential and skin safe fragrance oils are added to our soap.

Goat Milk Body Lotion: |
Our
Goat Milk Body Lotions contains pasteurized goat milk, emulsifying wax,
stearic acid, glycerin, Jojoba oil, Shea butter, Emu oil, Vitamin E,
Aloe Vera, Vitamin E T-80 (all natural, highly effective, broad spectrum, non-paraben
preservative), essential oils and are natural white in color.
They are available in seven different scents plus unscented in a 7.5 oz.
clear plastic oval bottle with a flip-up lid.

Emu Oil is added to our body lotions only. Emu Oil is
known to significantly reduce swelling, pain, and stiffness in
arthritis sufferers. It can be used on burned skin to lubricate and
aid in the healing process, causing less scarring. It contains
Vitamins A and E and is helpful in the production of prostraglandins;
a group of hormones actively involved in pain relief mechanisms.

Jojoba
Oil is also only used in our body lotions. Jojoba Oil moisturizes
and hydrates without greasiness or oiliness. It helps to promote a
healthy skin and scalp and will not cause or aggravate acne or other
skin problems.

Lip Balm: |
Elk
Brook Lip Balm is made from Sweet Almond Oil, beeswax, Vitamin E and
Aloe Vera. Our lip balm helps heal dry chapped lips without being
sticky. It comes in a white tube and is available in seven delicious
flavors plus unflavored.
